Each Bali Necklace helps to fund Coral Reef Conservation! Learn about our efforts!
The Original Hei Matau necklace is often gifted to bring its recipient good luck. It represents strength and safe passage over water. The hook shape finds its origins in Māori legend that the North Island of New Zealand was once a huge fish that was caught by the great mariner, Maui, using only a woven line and a hook made from the jawbone of his grandmother.
Each Bali Necklace is hand carved on the tropical island of Bali and shipped from the USA. Because we repurpose 100% natural materials, there may be some slight imperfections in each piece. See our workshop.
