The Wheke-e-Mura, which translates into "Fierce Octopus," symbolizes Protection of our Seas. In mythology, the Wheke-e-Mura is a monstrous octopus that was known as a wild creature, but also a guardian of the waters. Legend says that merely the sight of the beast brought even the bravest of sailors back to their ports. Our Octopus Necklace represents protection of our waters, tenacity and intelligence.
Each Bali Necklace is hand carved on the tropical island of Bali and shipped from the USA. Because we use 100% natural materials, there may be some slight imperfections in each piece. See our workshop.
- Carved from: Repurposed, Water-Buffalo Bone.
