The Hammerhead, Hei Matau necklace is inspired from the original Hei Matau. Hammerheads are known as stubborn, agile and aggressive hunters. Our Hammerhead Hei Matau necklace represents leadership, strength and safe passage over water.

Each Bali Necklace is hand carved on the tropical island of Bali and shipped from the USA. Because we use 100% natural materials, there may be some slight imperfections in each piece. See our workshop.

  • Materials: Repurposed, Water-Buffalo Bone.
  • Pendant size: Approximately 2 inches (5 cm).
  • Cord: One size fits all. Adjustable, bamboo cotton (choker up to 26 inches).

Pendants were very huge and the quality of the necklaces were very poor for their price thats listen.

Nice pendant but problems with necklace

The pendant is great but the hemp necklace ends keep slipping through the beads. I have had to fix it over 3 times and had the keep tying bigger and bigger knots to try to keep the ends from going through.

Absolutely Stunning and Very Detailed

This was given to my husband for our Anniversary. He absolutely loves it. Very detailed and well made. I love the way that this is adjustable. I definitely will be shopping from here in the future.

Good for the sea

I like that the product gives back to the Earth. Construction of the hook is top quality. The string necklace wasn’t my favorite part. The 2 bead system takes away from the focus of the hook. Think a simpler clasp would be better, maybe a cows hook knot with a button made of bone would be nicer. I modified mine like that. A black color necklace option would be great too. Also I think the back of the necklace piece shouldn’t be so shiny, maybe more of a mat finish, would give it a natural look and feel and no so plastic looking.
